Beaujolais, France— 100% Gamay from granite soil in Lantignié, semi-carbonic maceration for 11 day, aged in old Burgundy barrels for 8 months. High-energy, with a beautiful balance of power and freshness. Cherry, raspberry, white pepper, earth with floral overtones. Medium-bodied with subtle tannin, structured and gastronomic but also fresh and well-suited to a chill. From husband and wife team Thierry and Sylvie Klok de Visser, who’ve been farming 8.5Ha in Beaujolais since 2019 after many years of working in restaurants in Amsterdam.
