A rustic blend of old-vine Cinsault and Aramon aged in concrete. All grown organically by the three siblings, Corine, Carole, and Olivier. The Faugerés region has a unique terroir of three different types of schist. The roots can’t penetrate the bedrock so they must seek fissures to fit through explaining the compelling acidity.
La Lanterne has a clean, natty purity. Silky and velvety with notes of blackberry, herbs, and lilac. Concentrated and earthy with vibrant lift.
They don’t plow at Clos Fantine because they say it would upset the balance and dry out the soil. They even play Gregorian chants in the cellar, saying wine without music is agitated.
