Founded in 2005 by Gilles Ballorin and his wife, Fabienne, Domaine Ballorin is a true labor of love. Having no family history in winemaking, Gilles spent over a decade training under leading vignerons in Burgundy before setting off on his own. The domaine started as a tiny 0.2 hectare plot, and now has expanded to 6 hectares spanning Morey St. Denis, Fixin, Marsannay and Nuit St. George’s. The couple has practiced biodynamic farming since day one, becoming Demeter-certified in 2008.
