Emile and Brice took over abandoned vines in southern France in the region of Costières de Nîmes. They converted to Biodynamic farming, work by hand, and let sheep graze during the winter. They are lucky enough to have Eric Pfifferling (of the famed Domaine L’Anglore) as a neighbor and mentor.
40% Grenache and Syrah and the remaining 20% is Carignan. The vineyard this comes from is a crazy landscape and is an old salt flat. Soft ripe fruit, mulberries, warm spices, green coffee, and a little earthy note. Silky smooth and playful, a steal at this price!
