Languedoc, France— Juicy, fresh & classy blend of mostly Mourvèdre with some Grenache, all hand-harvested from organically farmed vines. Semi-carbonic maceration, all aging done in stainless steel. Electric light red color in the glass. Fresh bright strawberry, raspberry, roses, dried herbs on the palate. Medium-light bodied, structured but with minimal tannin. Beautiful with a chill! No S02.
Philippe Formentin has been making wine as Opi d’Aqui since 2012, but has been making wine in Languedoc since 1998.
