Made from biodynamically farmed Albana (an ancient variety that the Romans claimed should be drank out of gold), this pet nat macerates on the skins, with no added sulfites. The resulting wine is savory and fresh with notes of blood orange, minerals, and white tea.
Santa Lucia estate was founded in the early ‘60s when their father’s land was added to my paternal grandfather’s one, thus forming a farm of about 100 ha of which 12 are vineyards. They are located at 250 m. above sea level at Mercato Saraceno in the Savio valley, right in the heart of Romagna. At that time a farm ought to be self-sufficient and produce everything, from cheese to fruit, to wine.
