Catalunya, Spain -- This is a red wine made in collaboration with Salva Batlle and David Pujol Cargol. A blend is a co-ferment of 58% Garnacha, 35% Carignan, and 7% Moscatel, organically grown on the "Masarac" vineyard in the Alt Empordà region on sandy-alluvial soils at 40m in elevation. Grapes are hand harvested, carbonic maceration on the Garnacha grapes, combined with the Moscatel that has cold-maceration, and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Aged quickly and bottles without fining, filtering, or any SO2 additions. Limited production. Dark berries, but light in texture and remarkably drinkable! One of our favs!
