Ardèche, France— This gorgeous expression of Viognier comes from the old vines of Le Mazel. The grapes were pressed slowly over several days, with the wine moved to old barriques for two and a half years of élevage. Time has rendered a complex, layered wine of subtle power and real finesse that is one of our favourite versions of the grape.
