Anders Frederik Steen, a Danish ex-pat, makes wine in Ardeche. He worked for years as a sommelier at one of the best restaurants in the world, Noma. Now he makes earnest, true, and contemplative natural wines and by principal uses "grapes and only grapes.” He takes a creative and intuitive approach. The names of his wines are always poetics and playful, and I believe he follows that same approach in the vineyard.
The third iteration of the unintentional Peach series. A blend of mostly Syrah and Merlot with a small bit of Cab. Sauv, Grenache, and Cinsault. The super fast fermentation leads to a dry, bright and fruity rose. Delicious with notes of rose and other summer flowers. Crisp, tart raspberries, cranberries and pomegranate bitter.
