In the heart of Penedès we find a humble 8 hectare estate led by Ferran Lacruz. Ferran grew up in this area of Caralonia and after studying tourism in college decided to pursue a path in winemaking instead. Clandestina was a standout from Raw Wine fair in 2019.
Hand-harvested Xarel-lo, spontaneous ferment with 3 weeks of maceration. Ferran keeps the skins submerged so they aren’t exposed to oxygen and don’t develop harsh tannins. No added sulfur, organic.
Fresh and salty, hint of effervescence, mandarin orange, lemon candy, stone, thyme and peach.
