Paraje Altamira, Argentina— 100% Malbec from 20+ year old vines in a single parcel - "Finca Las Piedras," within the Paraje Altamira in Mendoza, Argentina. Elevation at 3,609 feet and soils here are the rare "Caliche Blanco " type. Manual harvest, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, for 25 days. 100% malolactic fermentation. Aging continues until the next harvest in 50% stainless and 50% concrete. Blueberry, blackberry, mint, thyme, earthy undertones with chalky tannins. Unfined, unfiltered, low S02.
