Jász Laci's "Setting Sun" is a rare blend of native varietals from Somló: Juhfark, Furmint, Sárfefér, Gohér, Járdovány, Olaszrizling and Zőldszilváni grown on volcanic soil.
From the authentic and humble moustache man we get this beauty. A unique savory nose with notes of dried mango, guava, and savory herbs on the nose. A generous palate of citrus, salt, herbs, golden apple, and smoke.
The volcanic terroir lends a touch of smoke to the finish. Fermentation was spontaneous with native yeasts in stainless steel tank. The wine spent 4 months on the skins and remained on the lees until bottling. Unfiltered and unfined, no sulfur added.
