Chenin Blanc from the nutty genius, Jean-Pierre Robinot. Forty year old vines, given a direct press straight to barrel, where it fermented and rested on lees for fifteen months. Reflecting the vintage this is a little deeper and rounder than previous years, though the perfectly ripe stone fruits are cut with an intense, stony minerality, which brings freshness and complexity.
Robinot is the master of elevage, giving each wine the time they need to reach their full potential. Some fermentations may last years, but Robinot sticks to his ethos and patiently lets the wine do its thing. There is a madness to it that we are grateful for.
