A dynamic wine from the treacherously steep terraces of Galicia. Primarily Mencia along with a touch of Garnacha and Negreda all biodynamically grown. Soft velvet, plush plum, cocoa nib, coffee, herbs and black pepper.
Maria José Yravedra and her daughter farm all biodynamically, but her philosophy extends beyond that to what she refers to as heroic viticulture. She surrenders to nature and farms with love, balance, and compromise to the land.
Hand harvested, gravity fed, natural ferment in large neutral oak foudres followed by 8 months of aging.
