Verdejo that macerates on the skins for 30 days in a 100 year old clay pot. Black tea like tannins, clementine, nutty, apricot, clove, with a little tingle. The vines are 60 years old and sit at 900 meters above sea level. The vines are surrounded by a pine forest and natural vegetable covers the fields. The cool evenings help clarify the wine.
Elisa de Frutos and Ruben Salamanca is the couple behind Malaparte and they are involved in a few other projects in the area of Segovia. They help restore old vineyards under the crowdfunded Uvas Nomadas project. Only 1000 bottles produced.
